Since 1974
Founded in 1974 by Pete Davis under the name Thorndale Roof Systems Inc., the company saw Pete’s son, Ed Davis, take over in 1982. Under his leadership, TRS evolved from a roof truss manufacturer into a company offering panelized building products, while also specializing in supplying and installing large-scale commercial projects.

Over the decades, TRS Components Ltd. has faced numerous challenges — from economic downturns to a major fire in 2004. Each obstacle was met with determination, strengthening the team and its expertise. This resilience has allowed us to become a leader in building component manufacturing, recognized in Ontario and Michigan for the quality and scale of our projects.

1Roof Trusses
Allow our talented and experienced team to create truss packages that are cost effective and compliant with the Ontario Building Code. Through the use of software, each truss is designed to meet an engineer’s specifications. Once in the manufacturing facility, our Virtek laser system ensures that production meets your expectations of precision and reliability. TRS Components Ltd. and Terra Nova Truss also have the capability of producing plated floor trusses to allow for the easy installation of piping and wiring.
2Floor Panels
Prefabricated floor panels can be designed and produced by TRS Components Ltd. and Terra Nova Truss. Using our advanced production techniques, the panels will arrive on site ready for installation in a fraction of the time that it would take to stick frame.
3Wall Panels
Whether you are looking for panels for a single-family home or a larger commercial construction, the team at TRS Components Ltd. and Terra Nova Truss can provide an engineered solution in a timeline that is right for you. Our design software ensures that each panel that we manufacture meets our exacting standards and provides time and cost savings for our job sites.
4Lumber Packages
For framing crews that are looking to build panels themselves at the job site, we can provide engineered drawings as well as the required materials. We have a variety of joists, beams, hardware, and other materials available for full package orders that will keep your site efficient and organized.
5Supply and Install
TRS Components Ltd. and Terra Nova Truss have the ability to provide framing services for the installation of our prefabricated products. The framing crews that we utilize are familiar with our panelized materials and trusses allowing them to efficiently and safely install your next project.
